RADIO DISNEY 92.1 (CDMX)

XHFO-FM (92.1 FM), known today as Radio Disney, broadcasts from Mexico City with the Radio Disney pop format. The station is owned by Grupo Siete, and its transmitter sits atop the World Trade Center Mexico City building.

XHFO received its initial concession on November 26, 1964, and was owned by Raymundo Romero Damian. It signed on in 1979 as "Radio Triunfadora" and was renamed "Crystal FM" in 1982 with a contemporary Spanish music format. In 1993, it was lent to Grupo Radio Centro in exchange for XEEST-AM, a relationship that would last 26 years; GRC turned it into "Sonido Z" with grupera and regional Mexican music, renamed "La Z" in 1996.

On December 7, 1998, XHFO and XEQR-FM swapped formats, with XHFO adopting the English classic hits format "Universal Stereo" while "La Z" moved to XEQR. The swap was prompted by close competitors and by Grupo Siete's attempt to reclaim the station after "La Z" became Mexico City's top-rated station.

On May 16, 2016, XHFO and XHRED 88.1 swapped formats. Later that year, GRC and Grupo Siete extended the operating contract through November 30, 2020. In 2017, most talk programs from XERED-AM moved to XHFO, and on November 20 the music programming was dropped entirely.

On January 14, 2019, XERC-FM flipped to talk as Radio Centro 97.7, and XHFO became the pop station XERC-FM had been, keeping the Red FM name and logo. GRC's agreement to operate the station ended on July 31, 2019, and the station became XFM 92.1, carrying the Central FM newscast hosted by Pedro Ferriz de Con in mornings plus an English-language classic hits format.

XFM ended abruptly on January 31, 2020: on February 1 the station flipped to an unbranded Top 40 CHR format, and on February 17 it began identifying as Radio Disney, a format previously aired on XHPOP-FM by Grupo ACIR. The format formally began on March 30, 2020.
