The story of RADIO COSTA 103.9 (Autlán)
Radio Costa is heard today on 103.9 FM in Autlán de Navarro, Jalisco, under the call sign XHLD-FM. The station traces its roots to XELD-AM, which received its concession on October 22, 1962. It was owned by Ernesto Medina Lima and broadcast on 1240 kHz with 1,000 watts by day and 100 by night.
In 1972, the station was transferred to XELD Radio Autlán. During the 1980s, XELD moved to 780 kHz, increasing its power to 5,000 watts.
In 2012, XELD was authorized to migrate from AM to FM, leading to today's XHLD-FM.
