The story of LA MORENA FM 90.1 (Coatzacoalcos)

FUSIÓN 90.1 (XHLL-FM) is a radio station on 90.1 FM in Veracruz, Veracruz, Mexico. Owned by Grupo Pazos Radio, it carries Spanish and English classic and modern pop, rock, classic hits, hip-hop, romantic, reggaeton and urban variety formats known as Fusión.

The station traces its roots to XELL-AM 1430, which received its first concession on August 23, 1946, signing on October 20 of that year. It was owned by Dolores G. Ferreira and broadcast with 250 watts. On March 14, 1951, XELL was sold to Carlos Ferráez Matos, and two years later Julio César Orozco y García bought the station.

By the 1960s, its daytime power had increased to 5,000 watts. In 1967, Esperanza Navarro de Núñez acquired XELL and promptly transferred it to Radio Jarocha in 1968. Its power was revised back down to 500 watts in the 1980s, but in the 2000s it was raised to 5,000 watts day and 1,000 night. In 2010, XELL was cleared for AM-FM migration.

Over the years, the station has been known as Radio Onda on 1430 AM, Latido on 90.1 FM, and today as Fusión.
