The story of La Mexicana 93.3 FM Los Mochis
La Mexicana 93.3 FM (XHCF-FM) is a radio station on 93.3 FM in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, owned by Radiosistema del Noroeste.
The station has a long history: it began as XECF-AM 1410, which received its concession on February 28, 1940, and signed on April 11, 1941, as the first radio station in the city. It was founded by Francisco Pérez H., sold to La Voz del Valle del Fuerte, S.A. in 1956, and acquired by Francisco Pérez Alvarado in 1965.
The current concessionaire was created in 1977, and in the 1990s XECF increased its daytime power to 10,000 watts. XHCF-FM was authorized in 2010 and permitted to raise its effective radiated power from 4 to 25 kW in 2015.
