The story of la invasora 101.9 FM Hermosillo

La Invasora 101.9 FM (XHHOS-FM) is a radio station in Hermosillo, Sonora, owned by Uniradio and broadcasting a grupera format.

The station traces its origins to XEHOS-AM 1540, which received its concession on September 29, 1984. It was owned by Fernando Fernández Almada and broadcast with 5 kW by day and 2 kW at night. In 1993, the current concessionaire acquired XEHOS and raised its nighttime power to 5 kW.

XEHOS was approved to migrate to FM in 2011, though it did not shut off its AM transmitter for another six years.
