The story of Fiesta Mexicana Tampico 91.7 FM
Fiesta Mexicana 91.7 FM (XHPAV-FM) is a Mexican Spanish-language FM radio station serving the Tampico, Tamaulipas area. It is licensed to Pueblo Viejo, Veracruz, though its transmitter and studio facilities are in Tampico.
The station began as XEPAV-AM 1540, licensed to Mensajes Musicales, S.A., a Radiorama subsidiary, on October 4, 1994. It soon moved to 1030 kHz.
In 2011, XEPAV migrated to FM at 91.7 MHz, and in 2015 it was authorized to move its transmitter to a new facility in Tampico. In 2017, XHPAV adopted the Fiesta Mexicana name, using the positioning already in place at other Radiorama clusters.
