History
The story of Fiesta Mexicana León 102.3 FM
Fiesta Mexicana 102.3 FM (XHOO-FM) broadcasts from Guanajuato, Guanajuato, with a Regional Mexican format, and is owned by Grupo Radiorama. The station received its concession on November 28, 1988, and signed on October 24, 1990 from a tower on Cerro Aldana, already known as Fiesta Mexicana. It was the second 1990 sign-on for the Radio Cima-Crystal group, after XHML-FM. In 1992 it moved to Cerro del Cubilete, gaining regional coverage, and in 1999 and 2000 it raised its power from 19 to 25 kW. On March 2, 2018, Radiorama leased more than half the cluster to Multimedios Radio, which replaced Fiesta Mexicana with the La Caliente format in León. The change was undone on August 1, 2020, and Fiesta Mexicana returned.
