The story of CANDELA 104.7 (La Barca)
CANDELA 104.7 (XHLB-FM) is a radio station on 104.7 FM in Jamay, Jalisco, serving La Barca. It is known as Candela and is affiliated with Cadena RASA.
Its origins go back to XELB-AM 1090, which received its concession on July 27, 1949. For decades it operated as a 250-watt daytimer, until the 1990s, when it upgraded to 5 kW by day and 1 kW by night.
In 2011, XELB was authorized to migrate from AM to FM, giving rise to today's XHLB-FM.
